Australian-owned headphones manufacturer, Audiofly, has set its sights on American growth, following the appointment of new International Sales Manager Ian Seaman.
The news comes nearly two years after Audiofly closed its US Office, and follows an “extensive restructuring” of its go-to-market strategy and global sales operations.
With over 15 years sales experience, Mr Seaman will also maintain Audiofly’s Australian and European presence.
Stocked at retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and Store DJ, Audiofly is known for its portfolio of pro-audio in-ear monitors and consumer headphones.
The Aussie company recently used North American trade show ‘Winter NAMM’ to showcase its new Pro MK2 range, which was reportedly very well received.
“Leading our sales team and developing strong relationships with existing and new partnerships are the next steps to fulfilling our ambitions in 2019 and beyond both here and internationally, and we are confident that Ian can help us deliver on these areas and beyond,” asserts Audiofly Co-Founder and MD Ranae Chen.
It comes as Audiofly further expands its global strategy, coupled with European expansion plans and showings across key Asian markets (e.g. Shanghai International High-End Hi-Fi Show and Japan’s Portable Audio Festival).
“The dedication of the entire [Audiofly] team is clear, we believe the time is right to forge ahead into key global markets, and I’m looking forward to meeting and working with all our partners around the world,” claims Mr Seaman.
“We also have to ensure that we are an Australian success story in our own backyard and believe we have the right product, people and sales strategies to continue to build on what are already very strong foundations.”
Mr Seaman commenced his role in January, replacing Matt Rowett who is departing Australia to pursue a new direction in Europe.
As one of Audiofly’s earliest employees, Mr Rowett worked with the organisation for over seven years.
