Danish luxury audio maker Bang and Olufsen has announced a suite of updates to its range of wireless speakers and headphones.

The new H9 headphones will receive Google Assistant functionality through a dedicated button, as well as an increased battery life.

B&O also updated the ear cushions and increased the padding on the headphone band.

The H9 is yet to have a local release date confirmed but will cost $840 when it hits the market.

The company has also updated its A9 wireless speaker, adding two more drivers and a new streaming engine to increase performance with Chromecast and Airplay.

First introduced in 2012, the newest version of the A9 has also added Google Assistant.

B&O claim the update now makes the A9 one of the most powerful voice assisted speakers on the market.

The updated A9 is available later this month and priced from $4,100.

In keeping with its emphasis on aesthetics, B&O has unveiled a striking new colourway for it BeoSound Edge speaker, which now boasts a new brass and blue design.

The polished brass-toned aluminium speaker takes inspiration from art deco design and like the A9 is designed to be mounted on the wall or sat on the floor.

Proximity sensors illuminate and activate the touch interface on the BeoSound Edge, but volume control comes in the form of gently rolling the speaker back and forth.

Strangely, the Edge has missed out on Google Assistant unless it’s paired with an external device, but it does have Airplay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth built-in.

The Beosound Edge brass is expected to arrive next month at $4,650.
