AirPods, along with the HomePod and Watch, are partly responsible for Apple’s Wearables, Home and Accessories business bringing in over $5 billion last quarter, more than ever before.
Respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told 9to5 Mac two new models are expected in Q4 2019 or Q1 2020, with one mild update, and another potentially featuring a completely new form factor.
Digitimes recently reported noise cancellation will be included on new Airpods being assembled by Taiwan’s Inventec.
Apple recently released the second-generation Airpods featuring an updated chipset, voice-activated Siri support, and wireless charging through an optional case.
Mr Kuo expects 52 million Airpods to ship before the end of the year, rising to 75 million in 2020.
