Audio Pro has unveiled a new speaker, “A40”, to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary. Only 1,000 of individually numbered speakers are available, at $1,199.99 RRP.
The compact multi-room speaker’s treble and midrange are managed by two “exclusive” BMR elements and its bass is controlled by two downward facing long throw woofers, plus dual passive radiators on the sides.
The A40 features a sturdy aluminium frame which also houses the control panel with buttons along the top of the frame to control volume, playback, connection, and five preset buttons which can be configured to a preferred radio channel or music playlist on Spotify or similar.
Additionally, the speaker can be controlled with a smartphone or tablet (either iOS/Android) through Audio Pro’s app, which has options to use voice control via Amazon Alexa.
Offering two design solutions, the A40 ships with two fabric speaker covers in light and dark grey which click on magnetically and can be interchanged to suit the aesthetic of the user’s home.
Equipped with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi network connectivity, the A40 can be used as part of a multi-room system and also features an AUX-input for cable connection.
