Matt Rowett the International Sales Director credited with establishing the Australian headphone brand Audiofly has quit to take up a global role with B&O.

Rowett is set to take up a senior role this week in Copenhagen with global sound Company Bang & Olufsen. In a message to ChannelNews he said that he was “excited by the role” and that he would be working closely with Harman to expand B&O sound and visual gear in motor vehicles.

He said that he quit Audiofly late in 2018.

In Australia Audiofly products are distributed by Aquipa who also distribute Bang & Olufsen products. It’s believed that Rowett was approached for the role at IFA where he has worked alongside B&O executives who use the Aquipa IFA stand to display their products to retailers.

Rowett said that he is set to look after the “B&O car audio partnership with Ford and Harman”.

Last week Australian headphone brand Audiofly has announced plans to try and re-enter the US market with the launch of its new Pro range of MK2 In-Ear Monitors (IEM), that will be showcased for the first time at the upcoming Winter NAMM Trade Show.

The Company claims that the Audiofly Pro IEM range has been winning over musicians, music industry professionals and audio enthusiasts worldwide since 2014.

At Winter NAMM, Audiofly will be launching its MK2 IEM range and custom IEM program, which bring with them its signature sound stage technology.
