Convoy has been appointed the sole Australian distributor for IsoAcoustic’s range of isolation stands designed for loudspeakers and studio monitors.
IsoAcoustics was established in Canada in 2012, and has received significant critical and commercial success in its short history. Its range of professional isolation stands that ‘float’ to improve speaker sound quality have received a number of industry awards as well as distribution to over 60 countries.
“When we first experienced how IsoAcoustics isolators could transform the performance of our favourite speakers, we could hardly believe our ears! We’re truly delighted to be offering this exceptional product range to the Australian market,” said Geoff Matthews, Managing Director of Convoy.
The CEO of IsoAcoustics, Dave Morrison, was able to draw on his experience in planning and building radio and TV studio in the development of the isolation stands.
According to Morrison, the speaker stands “provide superior acoustic isolation and enhance the sound clarity of any speakers including studio monitors, home audio systems and sound reinforcement.”
Convoy will distribute two core IsoAcoustic isolation stand ranges: the ‘Aperta’ and the ‘GAIA’.
The GAIA range is available in three models of machined isolation feet, providing a high degree of speaker isolation and resistance to lateral movement and oscillations for “greater sound clarity and openness” according to Convoy.
Meanwhile the Aperta Series are aluminium frames that ‘float’ speakers for a full three-dimensional soundstage while also “eliminating reflections from being conducted back into the structure that create bass smear and resulting in a lack of clarity and openness.”
The GAIA range starts at RRP $299.50 for a set of four feet, and the Aperta Series starts at RRP $249. Both ranges are shipping now to specialist audio retailers nationally.
